The Pine Cone Event
Down on Sicily, in Palermo town,
The pine cone is famous and it wears a crown.
It’s a sign of good luck, of health and of gold,
With that pure „divine spark“ and stories untold.
From a balcony in this ancient town
A painted pine cone fell tumbling down
It bounced on Antonio’s head
And bells of confusion rang instead
He staggered a step and started to sing
A rhyme and a melody both took wing
“My goodness, what a curious tone —
I’m a poet and songsmith, fully grown!”
My dear Camilla, hear the tale I bring,
Of a falling cone and the songs I sing.
That lucky charm fell from the sky,
To catch the muse and make her fly.”
Farewell to cabbages,
No weighing of pumpkins,
Our veggie stall I’ll run no more—
I’ll write songs and verses, my amore!”
Camilla smiled as she took his hand,
“I knew your soul was a poetic land.
I felt that spark, so bright and grand,
Since the very first touch of your gentle hand.”

Na Sicílii se keramické šišky často umisťují u vstupních bran, na balkony, terasy nebo v interiérech domů. Věří se, že přinášejí štěstí, zdraví a prosperitu.
A dále:
The Sicilian pine cone (pigna) is a traditional symbol of luck, fertility, and prosperity, frequently given as a housewarming gift to wish health and happiness.
Handcrafted in ceramics, particularly in Caltagirone, these items represent longevity and the „third eye“ of enlightenment.
